What I Do

What's Brewing?

Communication, made deliberate.

The starting point

Most businesses already know what they do, and why it matters.

The message gets murky

The challenge is turning that vision into words people understand quickly.

Where it slows down

Writing content, shaping the brand voice, and staying consistent start to take more time than they should.

What needs to click

The message needs to feel clear enough to follow, and strong enough to care about.

That's exactly where I come in.

About

At My Table

I'm Sireen Alhalawani, and I have never met a sentence I didn't want to make better.

I'm drawn to communication problems the way some people are drawn to puzzles, the messier the brief, the more interesting the work. Give me something complex that needs to be made simple, a message that's been buried under jargon, or a brand that knows what it stands for but can't quite say it out loud. That's where I do my best thinking, usually over a very good cup of coffee.

It matters more now than it used to. In a world where anyone can generate content in seconds, what's actually rare is a distinct voice, one that sounds like a real person made a real decision about every word. I've always worked that way, and I'm not planning to stop.

Education

Behind the Blend

Learning the Language

BA in Translation, Arabic, English & German

German Jordanian University, 2017-2022

study abroad, University of Leipzig

  • Understanding culture made me a better writer. The same message can land differently depending on who's reading it.
  • Multilingualism taught me that every language has its own way of seeing the world.
  • Translation showed me that creativity can mean finding a new way to tell the same story.

Finding My Voice

MA Corporate Communication, Marketing & PR

University of Leeds, Distinction

  • Strategy gave purpose to my creativity. You can write beautifully, but without direction, it rarely reaches the right people.
  • I learned frameworks that still shape how I approach every project, AIDA, STP, stakeholder mapping, positioning, DRIP, Porter's Five Forces, and more.
  • It also taught me that communication isn't built on instinct alone. Research, audience insights, and data should guide every creative decision.

Turning Products Into Brands People Asked About

Two consumer clients, two different problems. One needed a brand built from zero. The other needed a product repositioned so people would act.

Building a Brand From Nothing

Challenge

No name, no identity, no content. Starting from zero.

What I Did

Named the brand, set the direction, planned the first content strategy, wrote and edited the video.

Just an ideaNo name, no identity, no audience.

Repositioning a Product People Already Liked

Challenge

People liked the product, but the positioning wasn't clear enough to get them to act on it.

What I Did

Supported the rebrand, built a one-month content calendar, reframed the product's value.

People Liked itUnclear positioning, no urgency to buy.

Building the Process Behind Better Communication

One tracker turned reports from 9 affiliations, in 2 languages, into materials donors actually acted on.

The Challenge

Reports and proposals had to go out in English and Arabic on donor deadlines. With 9 affiliations submitting on their own schedule, tracking who had sent what, and what still needed context or proof, took a lot of manual back and forth.

What I Did

I built a tracker for every deadline, language, and program cycle across all 9 affiliations. It showed me exactly where to push, for stronger numbers, real testimonials, sharper visuals. Then I built the final documents in Canva, inside QRF's brand guidelines.

Scattered UpdatesNo shared view of what each affiliation had sent or still owed.

Product Positioning · B2B Tech

Making Technical Ideas Easier to Understand

A financial infrastructure product built to store over a billion messages, securely, for decades. My job was making Banks see its value and why it should matter to them.

The Challenge

Business and financial buyers don't read spec sheets. They needed a reason to care before they'd look at a single feature.

What I Did

I sat with the engineers, asked what the jargon actually meant, and turned it into a clearer reason to care. Then I wrote it into web copy, blog posts, social content, videos, and sales decks. Same value, different formats.
